How to get to the top of Google
Yes, if you are waiting to create a website (don’t wait, just get one) – you can claim your place in Google Places (it used to be called Local Business Center) so if you set it up properly, you will show on a map when people search for your product or service.
As with most things with Google, it sounds simple on the surface… and it is. But to get the best benefit from it, you need to optimise your Places entry.
For example, not all search terms produce a map.
Some search returns have too much competition. One client I worked with recently had his Places set up but two terms produced the same result.
After analysing the keywords, I found three others he could use which gave him Page 1 results for 5,100% more searches!
So, claim your optimised place on Page 1 of Google now – email andrew@gigmarketing.biz
